Dancing on the Bridge brought to you by the Malvern Community Development Fund
The thirteenth annual Dancing on the Bridge celebration will be on Saturday, September 10, 2016, in downtown Malvern, Ohio. This festival and fundraiser brings our community together for a day of fellowship and fun. As in previous years, there will be a free children’s play area, entertainment, a basket raffle, vendors, a car show, a beer garden and a party to honor and thank our patrons. Jimmy & the Soulblazers will be the mainstage entertainment in the evening.
Our 2016 theme is “It Takes a Village to Improve a Village”. The Malvern Community Development Fund Board of Trustees voted for two downtown projects and three for the community park. Downtown, benches will be placed in front of local businesses, so residents and visitors will have a place to sit and talk, rest, or just watch the activity in the Village. New banners welcoming people to Malvern will hang on the light poles in Spring and Summer. In the park we will put mile markers on the nature hiking trail, safety ground cover on playground areas, and install an Expressions swing which connects an adult swing to a baby swing, allowing the parent to see the child’s expression while swinging.
Of course all of this is only possible with the generosity and teamwork of both local residents and Friends of Malvern, near and far. The Dancing on the Bridge Committee has established various levels of giving in support of this project. If you are interested in contributing to these projects to improve Malvern, call or email the Co-Chairwomen of the event: Carol Brawley 330-863-9234, email@example.com or Susan Joyce 330-875-3994, firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope that everyone in Malvern and the surrounding areas will support the event and come out to enjoy the end-of-summer celebration!
