Dancing on the Bridge, a project of the Malvern Community Development Fund, is an annual festival and fundraiser held on the streets of Malvern, Ohio. It includes vendors, a car show, a free children's play area, entertainment, a basket raffle, a beer garden and a patron party. Funds are raised for projects in Malvern, and our generous donors make these projects possible. In 2015, our project was to provide new, beautiful Christmas decorations for downtown Malvern. They will hang on the streetlight poles and are four feet tall wrapped in mylar garland with bright LED lights and are in a variety of holiday shapes: snowflakes, gifts, wreaths, candy canes, stars, bells, candles, ornaments, trees and poinsettias. The decorations have been ordered, received and will be on the downtown streets for Christmas 2015! If you have questions, call or email our 2015 Co-Chairwomen: Carol Brawley 330-863-9234, firstname.lastname@example.org or Susan Joyce 330-875-3994, email@example.com.
Dancing on the Bridge 2015's Vehicle Show, Vendors and Kids' Area were a lively part of the event, as the photos below show. The celebration was cut short by torrential rain, and most of the entertainment was forced to cancel. We were, however, able to have the presentation of Albert Cinson's historic barbershop pole, given to the Malvern Historical Society by Cinson's children Al, Marisa and Pat Cinson Tierney. Entertainers scheduled included the Malvern High School Band, the Celebrate Recovery Band from Damascus Friends Church, Malvern Branch, the Great Trail Firemen's Vehicle Extrication Demonstration using Hydraulic tools, the New Towne Cloggers and Jimmy and the Soulblazers. We are hopeful they will all perform next year! The Patron Party, chaired by Charm Woods, provided great food and shelter from the storm from 4:00-7:00 pm, with a Christmas in September theme. The Malvern Community Development Fund Board of Trustees thanks everyone who attended and contributed to the event!
