Dancing on the Bridge  brought to you by the Malvern Community Development Fund

2017 VEHICLE SHOW

NEW THIS YEAR!

The Dancing on the Bridge Vehicle Show will hold a Valve Cover Race again this year.  In preparation for the main event on Saturday, September 9, 2017, Jack Leggett, Vehicle Show Chairman, invited the public to a Test & Tune for the race.  It was on July 22 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the gymnasium at the First Christian Church of Malvern, 4046 Coral Road NW.

Many people brought their racers and tested the track and the car.  The races were on the Roy J. Swinehart Memorial Racetrack.  At the event, Fox Auto Parts and Salvage gave a free valve cover to anyone who wanted to build their own racer.

Vehicle Show Chairman Jack Leggett announces that the Dancing on the Bridge Vehicle Show will include the following categories: cars, trucks, Jeeps, motorcycles, tractors, golf carts and garden tractors. Registration will be from 9:00 am until noon.  Cost is $10.00 for each vehicle entered in a class.  If you are entering the same vehicle in a second class, the cost is $5.00.  The Show will be a judged show with two judges casting ballots, scoring each vehicle from 1-100 points.

The Valve Cover Car Race, held on the Roy J. Swinehart Memorial Track, will return this year at 12:30. Entry fee is $5.00 per car for the double elimination races. The race is open to anyone. See below for rules.

In case of inclement weather, the Valve Cover and Hot Wheels Races will be held in the gymnasium of the First Christian Church of Malvern.

Following the Valve Cover Races will be a new event this year: Hot Wheels Races for children under 14. These races are free, and Malvern Tax Service will give a free Hot Wheels car to each racer.
